If you've made it this far, you've managed to get everything running. Congratulations! :)
Here's some useful information on how to use Touchpad Pro:
- Click with a quick tap
- Right-click with a quick two fingered tap
- Scroll with two fingered vertical swipes
- Present PowerPoint with two fingered horizontal swipes
- Zoom by pinching with two fingers
- Type by clicking on the keyboard icon
Here's an explanation of the icons in Mac Mode:
Presses the Shift key
Presses the Control key
Presses the Command key
Presses the Opt keyWhen not in Mac Mode, the Fn button in conjunction with a number on the keypad presses the corresponding function key. So to press F1, put Fn on, and then press 1.
Details
Here's what each of the advanced gestures / buttons result in:- Scroll: Mousewheel Up / Down
- Zoom: Ctrl-Plus / Ctrl-Minus
- Horizontal Swipe: Left/Right Arrow Keys
- Arrows: Arrow Keys
- OK: Enter
Remember, you can combine Shift/Ctrl/Alt with each command. For example:
- To navigate your browser history, you can enable Alt, and then use horizontal swipes or the arrow keys (Alt-Left / Alt-Right)
- To press Ctrl-C, enable Ctrl, and then press C on the on-screen keyboard
- To press Alt-F4, enable Fn and Alt, and then press 4 on the on-screen keyboard
- To launch Windows Task Manager, enable Ctrl and Shift, and then press Esc on the Remote Control
- To use accessibility zoom in Mac Mode, enable Ctrl and zoom with two fingers

great news. thanks for the news features. you rock
are you god?
did you hear my deepest wishes^^
thx, thats great man.
If you could build an interface for customized Shortcuts to control ourselves Programs you would be rockin even more.
So that we have diferent tabs with different programs
i could help you if you want to
just email me
Nam
oh i forgot
it would be nice too, if you would include more keys like the F-Keys ESC Tab or the named Shortcuts
i Appreciate this
That is amazing man, you have read all the comments and gone and added most if not all of the features that people wanted! I love the multitouch zoom its really sweet. now all we need is someone to make a a vnc server application that truly supports multi-touch so that we can have pinch and twist - how cool would that be!!
I freaking love your app!!! :)
Only one thing I would like to add to the Remote thingy is a volume changer that would freaking pwn!
Thanks keep up the good work!
for some reason i can't get the app to zoom in on my mac (usually control + scroll in). i'm in mac mode but when i turn on control and two finger scroll, it just scrolls up and down current page
is there something super obvious that i'm missing?
thanks so much i love the app!
unfortunately i don't have a mac that i can test on. if mac users can report their experience with scroll and zoom (using ctrl / cmd modifiers) that would be great. remember, in mac mode:
scroll is still mousewheel
zoom is cmd + / cmd -

Friend, I do not obtain to connect! It appears a message! ' connection could in be made you host....'
I make to arrange this? I have that to use point wi-fi or I can direct have access of wi-fi of mine notebook?
this is amazing!!!!
im using it to wrie this...the only problem is that u cant see the screen on ur itouch or iphone... is there a way to see the screen???
This is a killer app!!!
I love this so much, and it's come at the perfect time. I'm about to get a 40" LCD and put my MB 13" underneath it. I was planning on getting the new BT keyboard, but your app just saved me 79 €. And yes, a nice donation is on the way.
There is one thing I noticed though, and it may not be a problem with this app... Using Tiger and Remote Desktop the processor (1.83 core duo) hardly registers anything, whereas the same machine, using Leopard and Screen Sharing registers a constant 50% CPU usage. This also prevents the computer from going to sleep automatically. Anyone else noticed this?
glad you like it! it's really great to read the positive comments, esp those that say i saved someone some $$$s :) if/when i get a mac i'll be able to figure out all these mac issues. in the meantime if you mac folks can be as specific in your observations, that would be great (e.g., i'm still unclear about how well zoom works on mac, especially universal zoom).
I figure you saved me a good hunk of cash, so donating $50 is not a prob. Should arrive today! I'll add in my two cents on the "Features on Touchpad Elite" thread.
Enjoy your new MBP.
How about this suggestion for the Remote page?
I threw it together rather quick just now, but let me know if you like it.

@mac dub: WOW! thanks!! that's the biggest donation so far :) i really appreciate it! btw about leopard, you might want to try installing a separate vnc server? not sure how that would work out.
@david: i really like the design! can you redo the arrow keys since they're not symmetrical (there are jaggies on one side) and send it to me? i'll try it out and if it looks good, will put it in the next release. i'd also like to give you credit, so please send me your name / email so i can post it up (if you like).
hey dude, cool that you like it! I will try to make the adjustments today at some point, otherwise tomorrow. I could not find your direct email here, so could you drop me an email at david@candykitchen.nl ?
cheers
ive finished the remote interface, also made Hit States. if you contact me by mail i can send you the psd. :)
cheers
i can scroll in firefox but i cant zoom. do i have to activate something in firefox (i am using windows xp)
@magon: on your regular computer keyboard, press Ctrl + and see if it zooms in -- that's what touchpad pro sends when zooming in. let me know if it zooms in. similarly, Ctrl - to zoom out.
thankyou this worked perfectly and quite frankly its amazing. i admire the speed and how amazing this program is. thankyou again!
hi js
i can zoom out and zoom in with my keyboard. i can only zomm out with my iphone, and then back again in to the regular size
For anyone who read my previous entry and would like a "lighter" VNC app, check out Vine Server. It's free and uses a fraction of the processor that OSX screen sharing uses.
I posted this in connecting, but thought I'd follow up my comment on this thread.
It would be awesome if you could make a wireless gamepad. nothing complicated, you know, but something that would work for various emulators out there.
Hello , i love touchpad pro but is there any way to asign diffrent keys to the remote buttons?
btw the text zoom in works on mac but not zoom out.
Please drop me an email @ just.danne@gmail.com
:)
this is a great app! By far the best offered via installer. The most innovative and most useful! The only thing I can think of to improve it is to add a volume function to the remote -in fact someone already mentioned that. If you could add that it would be the ultimate media remote!
Have you considered making the desktop viewable via the iPhone? I think that would be useful too. If both of those things are included in the future - you can probably expect a donation your way.
thanks for the great app!

okay i have two servers on my touchpad pro on my iphone. My question is that when i quit out of them with the "x" does it keep running and draining my battery?
I love it!
Would it be possible to rotate images like on the mac book air?
Thanks so much
zoom on macbook pro not working for me either. in firefox, cmd + increases font size and cmd - decreseases. but zoom in and zoom out via iphone doesn't work!
how to enable the Fn?? I don't see it anywhere...
Great app!! Congrats!
